The following conditions are required to be certified by the consignor's veterinarian on farm. (Consignors may have these veterinary services at the market, but prior to the sale -prior arrangements required and there will be a reasonable charge for that service.)
The following are required:
(a) Pregnancy Status:

Light Bred - (Due Jan. 1 - March 1)
Heavy Bred - (Due Oct. 1 - Dec. 31)
(b) Brucellosis: Cattle from certified free herds are exempt from test requirements. Cattle from non-certified herds under 24 months of age must be official calfhood vaccinated. Over 24 months of age from non-certified herds must be bled within 30 days prior to sale.
(c) An official Certificate of Veterinary Inspection (health certificate) must accompany
animals to sale.
Owner Certified, Quality Assurance (owner certified):
The following are required:

Lepto5, Vibrio*
IBR, BVD, Pl-3, BRSV*
8-way Clostridial*
Pasteurella Haemolytica*
Parasite Control (internal & external)
* Weanlings must have I vaccination. (Recommended: second vaccination no more than 90
days prior to sale and not less than 30 days prior to sale.) Open/bred yearlings and 2-year
olds must have I booster.
SCREENING:
All cattle will be pre-screened, tentatively the last two weeks of August, at the farm by a designated screener. After arriving at the market, but prior to the sale, all heifers will be screened for the following:

(1) Temperament
(2) Obvious physical defect
(3) Minimum weights
(4) Females that have previously calved
(5) Recommend polled, dehorned (and healed), or tipped
The screening committee retains the right to reject any animal or group of animals at their
sole discretion, and that their decisions will be final.
SALE DAY:
(1) Health certificate must accompany the trailer.
(2) Cattle should arrive at sale barn Sunday between 1:00 - 9:00 p.m., or Monday no later
than 10:00 a.m.
(3) Sale order is at the discretion of the sale committee.
CONDITIONS OF SALE:
(1) $1.00 Per head will be deducted for Beef Checkoff.
(2) 7% Sale fee
(3) The Arcadia State Livestock Market will not be responsible for injury or death related
to the handling and processing of the heifers at the chute.
(4) Cattle will be sold on a per head basis.
(5) Terms of sale are cash or pre-approved check. Settlement will be made the day of the
sale.
(6) The auctioneer has complete charge of the sale, and in case of a dispute in bidding,
his decision will be final.
(7) Each animal is the property and responsibility of the consignor until sold and becomes
the risk of the purchaser as soon as sold.
(8) Announcements made from the auction block take precedence over any printed matter.
(9) Anyone attending the sale attends at his own risk, and the seller, sale manager or
sale personnel will not be responsible for injury, illness or death.
(10) The above terms and conditions of sale shall constitute a contract between the buyer
and seller of each animal and shall be equally binding upon both. Animals resold following
purchase in this sale shall constitute a separate transaction, and the rights and obligations
of the two parties connected thereto are not covered by the terms and conditions of this sale.
Neither the owner, sale manager or any other person connected with the management of the
sale assumes any liability, legal or otherwise.
(11) Except for those stated in the above terms and conditions, there are not warranties,
either express or implied, as to the merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose of
the animals being sold in this sale. The warranties are made directly by the consignors to
buyers and the sponsors do not make any warranty, nor do they provide any guarantee. Buyer's
sole and exclusive remedy, in the event of a breach of warranty, is against the consignor.
The warranties and guarantees set forth is the "Terms and Conditions" are in lieu of all
other warranties, either expressed or implied, and the remedies provided therein shall be the
sole and exclusive remedy for the buyer, or any party claiming through buyer, for any breach
of warranty or guarantee therein provided, and all other obligation or liabilities.
(12) All cattle are owned by the undersigned (consignor) and are free of all liens,
mortgages, and encumbrances and with clear title.
(13) Each consignor has the right to place a minimum accepted bid with the auctioneer prior
to sale. In the event the animals do not bring the minimum accepted bid, animals will be
charged back to consignor's registered buyer number. All sale fees will stand firm.
